This movie had such an enormous impact because it reached back to the old Adventure Serials of the 1930's like Flash Gordon and it brought it into the modern era in a unique way that was both retro and modern. There was a real sense of adventure and fun in this movie that some of the later movies sometimes lacked, and the actors (with the exception of Alec Guinness) were young and enthusiastic, and it was hugely popular and it became a sleeper hit that no one could have envisioned, not even George Lucas himself.

 It really did have a sense of adventure and fun and was so visionary. It's a feel good movie, even though some of the themes are dark, the characters bring such life to the screen and make you feel like you're going on a ride where everything is going to be okay and you'll love every second of it.__________________

  It really was fun and adventurous for sure but for me its the visionary of it that does it for me - wasn't born than and all but felt like it must have been a step into a new era cause even than the special effects feel remarkable related to both new|retro __________________

And I love that everyone was taking a chance in doing that movie, because it was the first of its type and magnitude. It could've failed miserable
