From what I've seen Legacy seems pretty well done. The story is more engaging and involving than a lot of comics and the overall product has a certain intensity. Duursema's art is recognizable but way better than it was when she was doing X-Factor back in the 90s. Though some of her art's trademark faults are still present. Legacy is very comic booky, with its angsty pissed off dark unshaven hero with a coat and long hair. I would have thought that sort of character would have gone out of fashion in the comic industry long ago, they were prominent in the earlier 90s. I half expect them to bring out huge guns like Cable or something.

There is a nice interview with John Jackson Miller (on of the creative team members for KOTOR comics) on what the future for that series holds after the dramatic conclusion of their 1st big storyline.

Sum, you should know, without Angst, there's no excitement.

I think Jan's gotten a lot better since her XFactor days, though, you're quite correct...she has some action/anatomy issues from time to time.

As for the big guns....if Rob Liefeild ever touches a star wars comic, I'll bring his fingers.

I'm reading the first KOTOR tpb. It's quite good. It's done sympathetically and with humor and the art works. The Jedi offing their padawans is a good shock start. I knew it was going to happen from reading about the comic, but it was still a kick when it happened. Maybe those awful braids provoked them. This and Legacy are far better than the crap Dark Horse serves up as canon Buffy in Buffy "Season 8". Of course, that stuff is closely controlled by Joss Whedon. If KOTOR and Legacy were closely controlled by Lucas they'd probably be crap too.

I've never liked his art. Unsympathetic faces and oversized thighs, who needs it.

Sum, the art will get a bit dodgy when Brian Ching gets pulled for the Force Unleashed TPB, but he's back on again. As for the story, I think that arc runs all the way through issue 33 or 34, can't remember. Either way, it'll last for a while (not that they're dragging it out, but they have a lot of KOTOR elements to introduce).

Eventually you'll meet Malak, and perhaps Sion from the game, as well as a few other noteworthy folks.

We meet Malak in the beginining of the series, except he's not called Malak yet.

The pencilling in Dark Empire 2 is way better than the art in Dark Empire, which makes the coloring work better and the story feel more effective. Though they don't try too hard to get the characters right. Worst of all is the emperor, who looks nothing like Palpatine. The story tries to give Luke a romance, which I'm all for in theory, but they don't do it very well. Plus it's very predictable that she's going to be killed off. The art in Empire's End is a big drop.

The second tpb of Legacy isn't terribly interesting, from my first brief look. They ditch the interesting storyline to do a whole lot of background stuff, plus weaker art.
