Finn's more like Han, the normal guy who just wants to run away from the tyrannical regime but comes back to save his friend.
Poe is like everybody. He's a brave, badass freedom fighter like Leia; an optimistic, idealistic ace pilot like Luke; and the charming, funny big brother of his trio like Han. __________________

Actually, I don't feel that there's a 1:1 equivalent when it comes to the original trio with these new characters and I find that refreshing.
Rey is the Luke in the sense that she's on the hero(ine)'s journey, but she's nothing like Luke in personality, backstory or motivation. Poe is cocky like Han, but devoted to the cause like Leia. But I think he's going to be more reckless in this upcoming movie. Finn isn't anything like Han, either. Finn's desire to run from the First Order instead of fighting is based on fear, not on greed or trying not to care about anyone. He tries to be cocky and smooth but he's still learning how/who to be outside of being a Stormtrooper. Maybe we'll see interaction between Rey-Finn-Poe in 9, but it doesn't look like we'll see much in 8. Finn looks like he might be a part of his own trio with Rose and Poe. Rey, Finn and Kylo are essentially the "trio" in that they're the main characters - and I see them all sharing time in the future. But they're not like the traditional OT3. __________________
