I think we have to consider that there are different versions of Star Wars fans. Some fans are only fans of the books. We should be inclusive of everyone.

Also, I don't think it's confusing. We've set it straight that the EU and the movies are separate, but one thing doesn't have to cancel out the other

The books are alternate versions of where the Skywalkers' stories went in the EU, which people are clearly curious about.

I think it's great to include people who like all versions of Star Wars - the originals, the prequels, the sequels and the books

The EU is still an important thing for a lot of fans. Lots of people still speculate if EU characters or story lines will appear in the sequels.

I think Leia was the more sane one, possibly because she accepted the Force within her easier than Luke. She didn't have the Vader is your father revelation thrown in her face as brutally as Luke did
