I'm guessing Richard E. Grant's new character Allegiant General Pryde is supposed to be the new main antagonist, since all the other sequel trilogy villains suck and/or are dead. I suppose that means they're probably not going to redeem Hux as a villain and just stick with him being a Starscream-esque snivelling joke.
