Add me! I really loved their friendship in the movie. They had a fun dynamic. I hope they will eventually turn into something more. I felt there were hints towards something more, but I don't know if they'll actually go there or not. Regardless, I loved them and this movie.

Do you guys think they'll make them romantic or keep them as friends? I've seen a mixed reaction when it comes to what they will become in the next episodes. Personally, I felt like they were building the foundation for a romance later. Some people feel like they are going to be the Luke and Leia of the trilogy.

I'm of the opinion they're relatives of some sort, but I could be wrong. I can't imagine they'll go the romance route with them though, at least not in the traditional sense. This isn't an Anakin/Padme situation, nor is it Han/Leia. I could see maybe a one-sided thing for Kylo towards Rey. But Rey watched him murder his father and I don't know how you come back from that.

I love all their scenes together though and since we don't know Rey's background I can definitely see why it's shipped.

Well, apparently Finn and Rey both have important relations. So, it could go either way. I'm guessing that both Rey and Finn are connected to known characters in the universe. I really think Rey's relation is obvious. I have my theories about Finn, but I find it hard to believe that they are related. It would definitely be unexpected, though.

I think they could go either way with it. I don't think this trilogy will focus too much on romance. If there is romance, it will be a background plot. It was only central in episodes 1-3, because it propelled Anakin to his eventual change to the dark side.

I think they are building towards a romance but I hope it's background noise more than an important arc. In ep 1-3 romance was indeed in the foreground for obvious reasons, I just don't think it works in adventure stories and SW is an adventure and thus must be treated as one. If Finn does turn out to have an important connection, I'm willing to guess and say it's Mace Windu. It could explain how a stormtrooper broke free from a lifetime of brainwashishing, like it was a switch. He had an examplery record before that, according to Phasma. I think with Kylo also being aware of FN2187's break from his conditioning and knowing exactly who had helped Poe escape, standing his ground (however short) against a force wielding Kylo in a light saber battle, it's all too coincidental for me.

I'm still not 100% on the romantic boat, but I can definitely see it heading that way. I want him to get better at fighting though, maybe she can teach him some tricks

It's kind of hard to tell when they're likely to see each other again. If Luke agrees to teach Rey she could be on that planet for months. Finn will probably have recovered by then.
