That's the land I live in I'm in denial as far as their canon sequel story. I look at it separetaly like fanfiction. Han/Leia are my eternal OTP so to me they had a happy ending, the end, denial all the way, sue me

Yep, I have to agree I love the sequels for how enriching the Kylo and Rey connection is, but the idea that Han and Leia are ... Gone ... Forever .... Umm....

Yeah exactly. I don't dismiss the sequels because I looooove my Reylo and my Poe and my Finn and a bunch of other things, but when it comes to Han/Leia, I adore their moments in TFA, but to me their happy ending in ROTJ is eternal and unchangeable

I envy you, cause I'm absolutely unable of separating it. The sequels are canon for me regarding those too.

And I don't think it's that bad what happened to them. They got married, had a child and they've been together for years before the tragedy with Ben happened. I've read that it's confirmed in the book called "Bloodline" that it happened six years before TFA. So they had a long and happy life together. And even after the separation, the still loved each other

Sure, Tar and I'll stick to this
Correction: The book took place six years before TFA and the Jedi massacre hasn't happened yet there, so Ben was somewhere between the age of 23 to 29 when it happened. Assuming that the Jedi massacre happened right after Ben's turn. But I think so according TLJ __________________

I completely respect that I love Adam Driver's acting (I think he's the best actor in Star Wars now that Harrison Ford has gone) and the Kylo/Rey relationship so much in the sequels that I'm biased towards those aspects. But in terms of how Han and Leia's relationship was torn apart... Yeah, it's kind of depressing, really. __________________

That's why I separate things, I don't want my OTP ruined, but I'm a big Adam fan (have been since Girls) and I'm obsessed with Reylo so I pick and choose my realities when it comes to the sequels

And really, it's been only a few years since Han and Leia got separated. That definitely helped me make peace with it. __________________

I think the best thing about it is that is was 100% clarified to us that no time apart could stop them from loving each other. They didn't start romances with other people post-separation. They remained committed to each other, in their hearts.
