I think the original Michael is WAY better but they're doing a good job with the new one because they're not trying to make him similar to the original one. If they tried to copy the character it would've been a mess cause no one would compare to Brendan's version of Michael.

Maybe it’s cause it had been so long since having seen OG that I prefer reboots version :gone: maybe once I finish this rewatch that mainly feels like for the first time, I may feel the same

Hard to beat original things in general, but I definitely prefer the original Roswell at least so far and I don't see that changing...
