Actor-bashing is not allowed, but criticism of acting is allowed. Boba Fett always annoyed me. He was the wanker who took Han to Jabba and I was very satisfied when he got his comeuppance in Return of the Jedi and was sent down the pit to be devoured. His resurrection in the Expanded Universe in the '90s annoyed me. I find him very overrated. He's a minor character in the Original Trilogy and all he has is a cool outfit, but he gets treated like he's a major Star Wars character or even the coolest. That bewilders me. Then there's the prequel version. We get an annoying Daddy Fett, Jango (ridiculously built up in the Expanded Uinverse as so cool that he can kill multiple armed Jedi with his bare hands) and we get an even more annoying kid Boba, who's supposed to be Jango's clone but looks nothing like him. I could have done without these prequel characters. Apart from his outfit, the one other good thing about the original Boba Fett was the voice acting Jason Wingreen did for the Empire Strikes Back version of the character. But if you've never seen the original version of the film you won't have ever heard Jason's voice work, because in 2004 Lucas replaced Wingreen's voice with voice acting by Temuera Morrison (who played Jango in Attack of the Clones), so that Boba would sound like his "father". Thus changing the Original Trilogy to fit the Prequels, which is getting things backwards. I'll never forgive Temuera for going along with that and helping Lucas to remove an actor from a classic. Anyway, the Fetts have long been a source of annoyance for me, and rumours of a Boba Fett film to be put out by Disney/Lucasfilm in the future are not to my liking. I really hope any film made about him is set before Return of the Jedi. The last thing I want is Boba Fett resurrected in the new films. Boba Fett parody: Boba and Greedo Boba Fett: Where am I? Greedo: In Hell. You’re dead. Boba Fett: That can't be! I'm the coolest bounty hunter ever!!!! Greedo: No, that's Manco. Boba Fett: Manco? You mean the man with no name who had a name? He was a bounty KILLER, not a bounty HUNTER. Greedo: 'Cos, you couldn't figure out how to kill them? Boba Fett: I'm alive!!! I appeared in Dark Empire! Greedo: No, that's Jodo Kast pretending to be you. Boba Fett: But I killed him! Greedo: Uh, no, that was him killing the guy who was pretending to be Jodo Kast pretending to be you. All the Boba Fett exploits since the pit of Carkoon were him. Boba Fett: What about all that stuff about me being a little twerp kid cloned off a simple man trying to make his way in the universe? I don't remember being that kid. Did they wipe my memory? Oh no, I've been memory-wiped AND sent to hell! Greedo: I think that was actually propaganda made up by some sinister force, like a Dark Lord of the Sith. I think they were trying to annoy Jodo, because he's you now. Boba Fett: He's what?! No fair! I'm the bestest and the coolest and the meanest! I've got a frikkin jet pack! And a helmet! I've got a cool helmet -that makes me the best ever! Greedo: Jodo has a jet pack and a helmet too. Boba Fett: Why that little... Greedo: And so does Fenn Shysa. Boba Fett: He's a bounty hunter now? Greedo: No, but he's the coolest Mandalorian. Boba Fett: Why you...! Greedo: You can't kill me. I'm already dead. Like you.... You got eaten. Boba Fett: You got shot because you're such a poor shot you couldn't hit Solo at point blank range! Greedo: Hey! That's not true! I didn't get a shot off! Solo shot me in the balls under the table before I could shoot! Boba Fett: I heard otherwise. Greedo: Just lies spread by some sinister force. Boba Fett: Like a Sith Lord? Greedo: Yeah. Boba Fett: These Sith Lords... Greedo: Hey, you know, we were both killed by Han Solo. Boba Fett: Yeah? Greedo: I guess that makes him cooler than both of us.
