Heard he was doing this but didnt know the timeline. Hamill has been playing the (voice of the) Joker since the animated series in 1992. He is uber talented in this role.

I was gonna say "why does Mark keep pushing this?" and then I read the part of the article that reminded me that they're making a character gay on the next episode and it made wonder if it's possible But honestly it'd make zero sense unless they make him bi, and does SW really have the time to explore the sexuality of Luke Skywalker to that degree with so much that he will have going on with Rey and Kylo? I want them to make Poe gay.

I wouldn't take that news seriously plus I read what JJ said he didn't say there was a gay character in VIII he said he's hoping there is one the report even goes on to say its up to Disney to decide not JJ, not Hamill just Disney.

Wtf? Mark seems to be totally forgetting the plot of ANH, in which Luke travels across the galaxy because he's got a major crush on Leia. Theoretically Luke could be bi, but not full-on gay. Contrary to what Mark has said before, Luke's sexuality IS directly addressed in the films.

Exactly, he could only be bi. Poe is gayer than the rainbow to me. It's a matter of whether they'll actually say it out-loud or not. But to me it's VERY obvious.

Supposedley if Disney authorizes it, there will be two gay people walking hand in hand toards the sunset together at the end of Episode IX. A good friend of mine lamented this adding he would give up on SW if this happens. Mind, he's already upset they killed off Han Solo.

They may make Poe gay, but I don't know if they'd do that with Finn. It's quite possible they'd introduce another gay character to interact with Poe.
