Although I didn't see any of the films until about 4 years ago, I knew almost nothing about Star Wars before watching. I knew who Princess Leia, R2D2, Darth Vader, and Jabba were. So when I watched the movies for the first time I didn't even know who Han Solo was and kinda of thought that Luke and Leia were together. But I had no idea that they were brother and sister until ROTJ when Yoda said, "no, there is another." In ESB I just assumed that since Luke was a Jedi he could communicate with Leia using the force. I didn't even think about Leia having any force powers. I just thought that Luke could do that with anyone.

Yes I do remember Luke speaking to Leia in ESB which was a great scene. I just dismissed it as his ability to use the force not any connection that they have.

Anyway, I loved their closeness and bonding. It was nice. The kiss I practically forgotten.

I've found a lot of people who know of the SW characters but have never seen the movies don't find out they are siblings till RotJ.

I don't remember what my first thoughts were on Luke's Force call to Leia

I read the issue. I was just an interview with Mark and one with Carrie about playing their characters. It was a nice read.

When first watching Star Wars, I shipped them together. I didn't know they were bro/sis of course. When I found out, I was devastated. But, yeah, I'm still fantasizing a world there they weren't anyway related by blood.

That must stink, to ship a couple and then be shot down when GL reveals they shared a womb

I do wonder sometimes if there are fan fictions out there from L/L shippers that write them as not related.
