Oh, I saw this old thing on Club Jade a while back, probably the first sign that Luke and Leia were siblings:

YouTube - Donny and Marie starwars part1 and 2

Then there's this:

I thought it was funny that Donnie and Marie actually foreshadowed Luke and Leia being brother and sister.

I think the advantage of being younger is that I knew it, so I didn't have time to ship them and be disappointed when I went around to watching Return of the Jedi.

My thoughts on the magazine:

Jason and the Argonauts? Hercules? When I lost my Rocky Horror virginity, someone actually explained who the hell Steve Reeves was, so this makes me laugh. (The difference is that in Rocky Horror, "It's a trap!" means…what we always mean when we say it.)
How did they get part horse out of Chewie?
"They're after Mark so he can't buy more robots!" Or they could be a send-up of the pre-Tonto Westerns where the Indians were Always Chaotic Evil (if you're familiar with TVtropes).
"The older man is Hans Solo, a spy smuggler hired to transport them off the planet—but first they must escape from the Tusken Raiders!" Hold that thought for a minute, and I'll mention at least three things wrong with it.

That is funny but the song itself is unwatchable.

Never saw Rocky Horror. Who is Steve Reeves?

That article is so misinformed.

Something more visual, but not too abysmal (according to the intro song). At which time we all say "Who the **** is Steve Reeves?" It turns out he played Hercules. I haven't seen the movies, but I'm guessing they're somewhat abysmal.

Yeah, it's funny for what it is.

Well, it's a tween magazine, so all they care about is how sexy Mark Hamill is in his androgyny.

I like how it says "Jawass". I don't want to see a Jawa's ass.

I'm imagining their image of Empire.

This is Darth Vader. He's Mark's son!
Hans is jealous when he learns Leia really loves Luke!
This is Yoda. He's Luke's grandfather, and he fights Darth Vader with Mark!

Et cetera, et cetera.

Don't let RotJ out
the little things with Mark are the baby Wookies, they're more part dog than horse at this age. The ghosts are Mark's father, uncle and granfather... they're blue now

Maybe not by today's standards, with your Twilight and your NSYNC. But by 1977 standards…

And either way, they were talking about how sexy Mark was with his…let's say "boyish good looks". Does that sound better?

I do not and never have liked NSYNC.

I just can't see it. So just because Mark wasn't macho and had "boyish good looks" that makes him androgynous? Ridiculous.

Androgynous means you can't tell if one is male or female. You can certainly tell Mark was male.

Well, by 1977 standards, I'm androgynous. I have no chest hair to speak of.

Interestingly, the Marvels went all over the way with Luke, though. I remember in some he looked like a girl, and in some he looked like Rambo. I guess it depended on who was drawing him.

Here's me traveling back in time to compare my body to the standards of masculinity of the day:

1970s standards: My chest is too smooth.
1980s/early 90s standards: My pecs aren't bulging enough.
late 90s/00s standards: I'm not androgynous enough.
