yay for a SW reference. And a funny one.

Twinest is so wrong. I don't understand how people can write erotic fic about them

I am not a fan of incest/clash/twincest but they are pretty popular pending on the fandom.

Like I mentioned before... and in my defense, I shipped them before finding out they were related.

Yeah, but we can't call twincest shippers pervs because most of them are female, which is in turn because of anime's frequent use of twin brothers.

I find pop culture's fascination with twins interesting. Thankfully, L/L was narrowly averted, Leia has Han, and all Luke has at the end of ROTJ are a legion of Zeltron fangirls, and whoever else the EU wants to throw at him.

What's clash?

Yeah, well, it's easy for me to condemn, coming from a culture where the primary sexual taboo is incest, across the board. I just find fanfic writers' fascination with sibling incest to be itself fascinating. I'm guessing most of them were only children.

If I shipped a pair that turned out to be siblings I'd probably end up dropping the fandom or ignore that the story ever took that direction.

I guess I'm lucky that I was born in 83, so I never got the chance to ship Luke/Leia. I don't know where I absorbed that they were brother and sister, but I just knew.

Oh well, the EU throws more women at him than he knows what to do with, so I'm sure Luke isn't complaining. At least not until they start dying. Stupid Darth Scrappy had to do that.

Even without knowing I was a Han/Leia shipper from A New Hope.
The reveal was till a shock to me. Not as big as the "I am your father" shock though.

I just remember (before the PT obviously) wanting to know so badly who their mother was and how could anyone have a relationship with Vader. Did Vader know they existed?

They put implied incest in a children's movie? Never!

Yeah, Han/Leia was just more interesting. No offense to Luke, but Han just seemed to have more chemistry with her.

Well, I figured he became Darth Vader between the conception and the birth. I was a bit shocked that Padmé died right afterward, considering Obi-Wan says she hid them away.

Obi-Wan says "you were hidden from your father when you were born." He never said Padmé hid them.

Okay, I'll give you that. And Vader says she hid them, but how the hell would he know?

No Vader says (to Luke), "Obi-Wan was wise to hide her (Leia) from me. Now his failure is complete."
