Wow - that actually falls in line with what Kylo was proposing to Rey in the throne room.


I think his promise to Vader could have been a bluff, to maintain his villainous facade. That said, when he was saying "let it all die", you could tell he was dead-set on bringing about change even if Rey couldn't fully comprehend what he was trying to say.


I don't think it helped that he changed the subject to her parents But his social skills kinda suck, so... Points for effort, Kylo.

What Kylo proposed to Rey in the throne room souded different to me. This sounds a lot like words of Snoke repeated by Kylo. Because The Empire was fully dark and wanted to rule by dictatorship and intimidation. They were Sith lords, something that Kylo wants to end after he killed Snoke. It sounds really different to me.

I think Kylo spoke in a way that Snoke told him that Vader would be proud of. What Kylo didn't fully comprehend until TLJ was the extent to which Vader had been manipulated by another evil creature much like his own Supreme Leader (...Palpatine). Thus, these grand speeches made by Kylo are nothing more than his attempt to sound Vader-like. He wants his grandfather's approval, from a version of him that doesn't exist anymore.

Agree, I'm just saying that the speech he gave in the throne room sounds nothing like this to me.
