Hrm, guess I won't be reading that....

Some other novel news...including the fact that Del Rey has the contract through 2013, which includes 35 books.

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

Jerry, making people click links isn't nice...this is better!

Elaine Cunningham on "Blood Oath"

"For several months now, I've been mentioning a project that's due October 1. As of today, I finally have the go-ahead to announce what it is: Blood Oath. a standalone Star Wars novel scheduled for April 2009. It has been listed for over a week now on the Randomhouse online catalog, and is now listed on Amazon.com. The story takes place after the events of Legacy of the Force, during the early days of the period covered by upcoming series, The Fate of the Jedi. I can't give details about the story, characters, or setting at this point, but I do have a few observations about Star Wars in general..."

"...Blood Oath is an adventure shadowed by political intrigue, with a bit of humor and maybe a hint of romance. I can’t hope to recreate the sense of wonder I found in my first trip to a theater back in 1978, but I’m keeping that memory firmly in mind as I write."

Drew...on Darth Bane book 3

"The story that began in Path of Destruction and continued in Rule of Two will (possibly) come to a thrilling (and likely bloody) conclusion in the third Bane novel called… well, I don’t actually have a title yet. Or an outline. Or any other relevant details.

Come on, give me a break. Rule of Two isn’t even out in paperback yet. I mean, I’ve been thinking about this for a while. Playing with ideas. But I never bothered to lock anything down. (I’m a terrible procrastinator. Without a deadline looming, I tend to let things slide.)

Do I know what’s going to happen to Bane and Zannah? Yes… on a very general, very high level. But it’s going to be a while before I have the details worked out.

So I know what you’re all wondering: will Zannah kill Bane? Will Bane kill Zannah? Will we meet any other apprentices? Sorry, but I can’t answer any of those questions. I don’t even know exactly when the novel is scheduled for release (although I think winter/spring of 2010 is a good bet). I will tell you that I need to have the manuscript done by March, so that gives me plenty of time to put together a worthy successor to the first two novels."

So right now, we've got 2 books that basically take place before Fate of the Jedi 9 book series.

The Falcon book by Luceno, and Oath by Cunningham.

Steph, that's the thing...I don't believe they will release paperbacks of "Fate of the Jedi", or it doesn't sound like it. DEL REY is going to market the all hardcover series as "collectors" item or something?
To the library it is!

They are so vague those two

Jerry, I am starting Mid Summer Night's Dream tomorrow.

*gasp* I thought you started that already.

Alex, what's wrong with clicking links. The site that posts the news deserves the traffic.

Update on Blood Oath...the book will be about Zekk, which is a lingering question from LOTF, as he was lost and not found in the last book. Click the link for more details.

It's official...Del Rey has the new contract FRAK ME, and the deal with the hardcovers ONLY is TRUE! Meaning they will be releasing a lot more Hardcover now. Minimum 17 bucks a book. Unreal.

George Lucas should step in and mandate they release everything in paperback a year later. It's been that way since, well forever now they are changing it? It's ridiculous and disrespectful to the fans.

Meanwhile...."Order 66" generating plenty of controversy over at the TFN forums.

Like what? Oh wait maybe I don't want to know. I don't want spoilers.

Give me an idea without spoilers.

And that better be out in paperback!

I don't like this HC business.

I haven't had time to really look at all the spoilers right now "order 66".

Hoping to get some reading done "Street of Shadows" this week. I'm about 60 pages into the book now, picks up about a month or so after "Jedi Twilight" ends. Excellent start, and continuity by Michael Reaves.

Too bad George won't do that....remember, Del Rey is the Son to his Father (or was it the holy spirit) anyway, he doesn't care what they do, it's not his world according to him.

Then why does he sign over his name and his story rights to it? He should care.

And don't say the money.

Why not? You know that's what it is.

This was cool news for me:
TheForce.Net - Latest News - Jedi Revealed For Paul S. Kemp SW Novel

I loved playing Jaden in the Jedi Academy series, it was such a cool game.

What species/gender did you play Jaden as?

I finished Midsummer Night's Dream. sigh, I think it is a story that should be seen, not read. It was blah and not funny.
I know I would have liked it better if I got to see it performed.

Ummmm Twi'lek girl. Blue....sometimes purple.

Go rent the Kevin Klein version of Midsummer, it's not so bad.

I have screenshots of my version of Jaden somewhere.

I knew you'd play Jaden as a Twi'lek girl All too easy.

Is that the same one with Michelle Phiffer as the Queen of the fairies?
And Stanley Tucci is in it too?

You did not just admit your dvd are disorganized. Oh no you didn't.

What's so hot about the lekku?
Is it cause they are phallic shaped?
