And Palpy isn't a total sociopath already?

Yanno, if Del Rey had been writing the EU all the time, Mara would've had sex with not only Luke and Lando, but Kyle, Corran, and every other reasonably attractive male in the GFFA. (God, I hate how NJO turned Mara into a Mary Sue.)

Palpy is a total sadist-sociopath. But Vader through 20+ years of abuse, oppressed an entire galaxy and tortured poor Luke.

Well it's hard to take the sadist/sociopath thing seriously when you guys call him "palpy."

You know, I personally think that Sidious is the greatest villain of all time. I mean, look at all the trouble he causes after he's dead.

I was not calling her a slut. I was calling Del Rey's interpretation of her borderline-Mary Sue. (The trope namer, Ensign Mary Sue, was braver than Kirk, smarter than Spock, more compassionate than Bones, and slept with all three.)

And the Mary Sue thing is true in NJO at least: Every guy comments on how beautiful she is; even her nephew gets all flustered.

But yeah, Sid's a total sadist. Given the cover of Sacrifice, it makes me wonder what Sid's interest in those Skywalker boys is. Padmé also didn't age between AOTC and ROTS. Akanah apparently wasn't any older in TJK. We haven't seen Callista yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if she were't any older either. I haven't seen if Tenel Ka aged between TJK and LOTF, though.

All of which also explains why Jacen had no trouble manipulating Tahiri: She's still 15!

Yea that aspect is a little over the top. While I do believe that she is beautiful, so is Leia, and Winter, and lots of other EU women.

Yeah, but that's just it: She doesn't age. Leia and Mon Mothma are already talking about Leia's crow's feet in the JAT, but Mara doesn't age. Possibly because sex with Luke makes you incapable of aging. I'll have to see how Akanah looks.

And FYI, Steph, sex with four guys (if we count Luke among them) over the course of a decade doesn't make you a slut. Especially when the guy you marry at the end of that decade canonically had sex with at least three, possibly four (He was sharing a cabin with Jem in Dark Empire II, making her the shortest-lifespan girlfriend Luke has ever had.) girls (we might as well count Mara too) that we know about in that same decade.

I was trying not to spoil LOTF for those who haven't read it. And yes, it was gross. Star Wars seems to have played the "teenage boy/grown woman sexual tension" card to the most they can. First Anakin and Mara, now Ben and Tahiri. Perhaps because KJA was unwilling to go there with Kyp or Jacen.

I can understand Tahiri doing it, though. Ben's a lot like Anakin, personality-wise. It really shows just how messed up she is.

I'm 60 pages into "Order 66". So far, good...taking aside KT's anti-jedi pro mando saturation of the material. I'm aslo fraking tired of reading about how Clones - Slaves for 4 books now. You'd think her point would be well made by now and we can move on.

It shows up again in Revelation. (LOTF was oddly disjointed.) It's really weird in Revelation, because the only time Luke used clone slaves was in Dark Empire, and it was ultimately what left him disgusted at the whole of Sith teachings. It's just one of the characters from the Republic Commando books going on about how the OJO hired clone slaves.

The really bad thing is when I realized that, given the government's eugenic policies, I'm practically in the clones' position.

She's 14 in TPM, 24 in Aotc and 27 in RotS.
At least there is a significant difference between TPM and AotC.

True, and Natalie's one of those people that doesn't age much.
