No, they're talking about Blade Runner 2049.

Interesting interview with JJ Abrams. I wasn't sure, where to put it, but there is very little info about Ep. IX.

Actually, Abrams strikes me as feeling threatened by women himself, judging by the way he seems to feel the need to make them tame or otherwise undermine them in his works. Abrams is striking a lot of poses in that article, which I don't think he's in a position to do.

I actually agree with a lot of what he says, although like I said on the TLJ thread, there are plenty other reasons why some fans disliked the movie.

I think Abrams' treatment of female characters in film and tv is very problematic. Rey, Leia, Syd, Kate, etc. I've had issues with him over that for years, since long before TFA came out.
And just because some Alt-Right group claims credit for TLJ's lower fan reception scores doesn't mean it's true. Extremist groups are always claiming things that they're not responsible for. Also, tarring fans as sexist, racist, whatever, is not constructive discussion. It's all too common a tactic these days on the part of people involved in making films that get a negative reception. There are plenty of perfectly valid reasons for disliking TLJ and personally I would like the sequel trilogy a lot more if I didn't feel the portrayal of Rey was so misogynistic. __________________

I don't. It was horribly misogynistic. Plus it was a dumbed-down knock off the La Femme Nikita show.

I liked parts of Alias. Mostly Melissa George's character. And Sark. Was that his name? Can't remember correctly I shipped them.
