They have horses for all levels. If you've never ridden before they give you a horse that is trained to handle an inexperienced person. And you have a teacher with you as guide.

Grass and other edible things. I can just about guarantee it.

Unless you do something to seriously piss the horse off or scare him he will go out of his way to not step on or kick you.
