Yeah, I think he's asleep because of how TFA ended and he's being moved/transferred using the pod. I hope he won't be unconscious for most of the movie, if that happens, I'd even consider writng Rian a letter.

Must be forgetting more from the end of TFA
 but I think that makes sense - end of TFA in need of healing than I think part of TLJ related to following with Rey's right at end of movie - so I think he'll be captured by Phasma|First Order WHILE in the pod and than it goes from there__________________

I want him to be a major part in taking down Snoke, he suffered his whole life as a Stormtrooper fighting on the wrong side, so he deserves that satisfaction.

He's suffered his entire life, was kidnapped, never knew his family, he should definitely play a big role in taking down Snoke/the First Order.
It's the first time he's free, the first time he can truly be himself, hope we get an amazing journey of self-discovery without any restrictions or intimidation. __________________

I like that he's looking to be the main character of his own plot - the resistance portion of the film.
I think his confrontation with Phasma is toward the end of the film and part of the climax. __________________
