I can't think of one pairing I've shipped where there hasn't been some intense drama involved. Maybe Zack and Kelly, but she did cheat (uncharacteristically)

Yeah, most of my favorite couples have major sources of conflict and drama, and I've always been inclined to love the enemies to lovers angle when I feel it's well done.

A more simple, easier relationship has to have major sparkage in the chemistry department to keep me engaged, because without the conflict (in most instances that is aka The Journey), they're more likely to bore me. I'm all about the journey and I usually need a dynamic and story I can sink my teeth into.

Right now I'm reading on the new articles on the OP and I love this:

I haven't realized that before, that he had to gain his control back, because Rey completely disarmed him.

That's an astute observation. The part where he says "I saw something, too" feels so sudden because it's like he's snapping out of a trance because she has completely enamored him with her body gaze and strong eye contact.

I just find it so epic, because Rey completely disarmed soon-to-be-new-Supreme-Leader just with her strong presence and eye contact Rey, what are you doing to our new Supreme Leader? It's almost unreal

I love how, according to Rian, he's already made up his mind by the elevator scene to defy Snoke somehow, but he has to keep a straight face in front of Rey through fear of Snoke suspecting something, yet the moment she calls him "Ben" he looks towards her like a puppy dog

Which explains the devastated look on his face during their final force bond scene of TLJ. It must feel like a punch to the gut to see the ONE person he's opened his heart to since leaving his home as a teenager, leaving him behind.
