The Clone Wars Season 2 Review (Storm over Ryloth - R2 Come Home)
Season 2 was given the subtitle of "Bounty Hunters", which is a bit odd because only 7 of the 22 episodes that comprise it - in either chronological order or release order - actually involve those types of characters, but anachronistic subtitling aside, the season offers up a number of really strong episodes and story arcs that build on what was done in Season 1 without having to directly call back to it. * Best Episode(s): Storm over Ryloth, Innocents of Ryloth, Holocron Heist, Children of the Force, Senate Spy, Weapons Factory, Brain Invaders, Lightsaber Lost, The Mandalore Plot, Duchess of Mandalore, R2 Come Home * Best Story Arc(s): "Liberty on Ryloth", "Holocron Heist", "Return to Geonosis", "The Mandalore Plot", "Boba Fett's Revenge" * Best Character(s): Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Satine Kreiyse * Things That Didn't Quite Work: A lack of more episodes dealing with Bounty Hunters * Overall Rating: 9 out of 10 Season 2 was a definite improvement over Season 1, offering up some really strong arc-based storytelling and introducing us to some incredibly pivotal characters such as Barriss Offee and Duchess Satine, with its only real downside being the lack of enough episodes to justify it being given the subtitle of "Bounty Hunters". __________________
