I dressed up as Kanga for Storybook Character Day at my school, and had a pouch with Roo in it.

That's cute!
I went to see Goodbye Christopher Robin the other day. It was really good, had some really heart-wrenching moments but also heart warming moments too. It told the story of how A.A. Milne came to write the Winnie the Pooh books, after he spent some time alone with his son Christopher, who he called Billy Moon. It then told of how Christopher was exploited with fame. His father later realised the fame was too much for such a young boy to handle, and promised never to write any more Winnie the Pooh books, but the damage was already done. Christopher resented his father for that fame. It was brilliantly acted and had some beautiful shots of the Sussex countryside. What I loved most was the parts where Christopher would play Pooh Sticks with his father and nanny, bought memories of when I used to play Pooh Sticks at the real (the very same) Pooh Sticks bridge as a child. At the end, they showed some photos of the real A.A Milne and Christopher Robin, along with the real toys; Winnie, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and Kanga and Roo. And a couple of facts I already knew, like Christopher bought a bookshop in Devon, in the town I live, in my town cinema. The only part I kinda would have liked to seen was how Disney acquired the rights to Winnie the Pooh, but then I guess that may be for another story. __________________

I guess it does look kinda creepy. It's great they've got Jim Cummings to voice Pooh in this film.
Has anyone seen the film 'Goodbye Christopher Robin' that was out last year? It was a really good film and I explained a little about it in my post at the top of the page. __________________

Yes, it was sad.
You know that bookshop he opened in Devon they mention at the end of the film? I live right across the road from that shop. It had a section devoted to Winnie the Pooh. I always loved going in there since I moved here in 1999. Sadly, though, the bookshop closed down a few years ago. But the locals managed to reopen the shop at a smaller establishment to keep the spirit of the original alive. I always try to make sure I buy my books as often as possible from that shop to help keep it open. __________________
