Who Framed Roger Rabbit-"I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way."
Who Framed Rodger Rabbit Appreciation Thread #1 It is 1940's Los Angeles. In a world were Humans and Cartoons co-exist. A famous toon known as Roger Rabbit has life easy, until he discovers that his wife, Jessica Rabbit is having fun with the head of Maroon Cartoons, then things take a turn for the worse for Roger as he is know accused of murdering Mr. Maroon. Roger turns to a down and out detective named Eddie Valiant, who has a vendetta for toons. He helps Roger (against his own will), escape from an uncompromising Judge Doom, and even try to clear Roger's name, in order to do this, he must travel all over L.A. and even into Toontown. Release Date: June 22, 1988 Cast Bob Hoskins ... Eddie Valiant Christopher Lloyd ... Judge Doom Joanna Cassidy ... Dolores Charles Fleischer ... Roger Rabbit / Benny The Cab / Greasy / Psycho (voice) Stubby Kaye ... Marvin Acme Alan Tilvern ... R.K. Maroon see full cast Movie Trivia ~This movie marked the only time cartoon characters from Walt Disney and Warner Brothers appeared together on-screen. ~Bob Hoskins said that, for two weeks after seeing the movie, his young son wouldn't talk to him. When finally asked why, his son said he couldn't believe his father would work with cartoon characters such as Bugs Bunny and not let him meet them. ~With an estimated production budget of seventy million dollars at the time of its release, this was the most expensive film produced in the 1980s, and had the longest on-screen credits for a film. ~The first test audience was comprised mostly of eighteen and nineteen-year-olds, who hated it. After nearly the entire audience walked out of the screening, Robert Zemeckis, who had final cut, said he wasn't changing a thing. ~Jessica Rabbit's speaking voice was performed by Kathleen Turner, and her singing voice was performed by Amy Irving. Only Irving was credited. ~On the Special Edition DVD, Robert Zemeckis recounts that he had stated in a newspaper interview that Bill Murray was his and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg's original choice for the role of Eddie Valiant, but neither could get in contact with him in time. Bill Murray, in turn, has stated that when he read the interview, he was in a public place, but he still screamed his lungs out, because he would have definitely accepted the role. ~Tim Curry auditioned for the role of Judge Doom, but he gave a performance that Robert Zemeckis, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Michael Eisner all found quite terrifying. ~The movie's line "I'm not bad. I'm just drawn that way." was voted as the #83 of "The 100 Greatest Movie Lines" by Premiere in 2007. ~Pay close attention to Christopher Lloyd's performance as Judge Doom. In every shot where he's not wearing his shades, he never blinks. __________________

You're welcome
I loved Betty Boop in there too. Her and Jessica were the biggest flirts. __________________

You gotta admit, Jessica Rabbit was a little too sexy looking for what was meant to be a kids film. I guess the PG (UK) rating is about right...

I don't think this was necessarily meant for the kiddies more like an mature audience but I still watched it as a kid.

That's true. I know Christopher Lloyd creeped me out as the Judge Doom when I was little.
