Disney - Tarzan Aprecciation Thread

I didn't see any thread for this movie so I decided to create one myself, if that's okay. I love Tarzan, I think it's a beautiful movie and has lots of humor. My favorite character is Terk, she's off the hook. Awesome. I crack up with her. The beginning of the film is also very sweet, because we get to know a bit of Tarzan's past, but it's so sad that his parents end up dying.

Tarzan as a baby was adorable, and also as a kid.

I loved the scene which Kala shows Tarzan the things they have in common and says they both have a heart, so they're equal.

The songs were also beautiful... So touching. I borrowed a friend's soundtrack and was after one for myself but never found it.

The scene when Tarzan and Jane first meet and they are up in the tree and he takes off her glove... I think that it the most romantic scene I've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!

I love love love this movie!!! and I love the Tarzan on Broadway soundtrack. I dont know if I will get to see the musical, but I really really want to!!!
Anyone have any Tarzan avies or arts out there?

the first part of the movie got me in tears (it's the only cartoon that made me like this and "the lion king"), the part with tarzan as a aby and a child is sooo sweet!
The soundtrack is great I can't stop listening to it!

Oh this is my very favorite Disney movie. I just think the animation and coloring of the film is beautiful, it's the last time I was really speechless about a Disney film. There is too much computer generated animation now and I prefer the old style.

This film holds a special place in my heart because I saw it at a really rough time in my life. My parents had just decided to divorce and I was so upset and several of my friends wanted to take me out and get my mind off things. We laughed about it, but Tarzan was really the only thing we hadn't seen so we bought tickets to see it. I was so moved by the film, especially the relationship between Tarzan and his ape mother Kala I believe her name was.

I ended up seeing this movie two more times that week with other friends who wanted to take me out and I've just been in love with the movie ever since.

I actually really adore the love story between Tarzan and Jane and found it much more moving than any other Disney couple, there was a real connection in the movie and it's strange seeing as it was one of those pre-destined couples that you knew were going to get together.

I've since bought this on DVD and watched it over and over and I'm glad to share it with my two year old neice and spread the memories.

They have Tarzan the musical on Broadway now and the music is SO good. I havent seen the play yet, but I am planning too hopefully this year sometime.
