) tried to, but it never worked: Pocahontas always kept her wisdom and spirit and her connection with nature and animals. That is the reason why for me Pocahontas' story was about her spirit and her connection with things and beings that couldn't be broken. Animals, trees, nature - that was her world. Even if some people didn't understand it, it was where she belonged and she would never be happy without it.

Nothing, even her love interests could change her. She belonged to the nature of the world, it will always be that way for her. Her path had already been chosen for her. The animals needed her by their side, spiritual nature connected with her. Pocahontas connection with all of the animals is seriously beautiful. She treats them equally. A couple of time she went out of her way to show other humans experience a new life to natures greatest creations. She would never have accepted to live in a normal world away from her animal friends.
