The movie was o.k. a little underwhelming. I expected so much more with the length of the movie. I adored the Monkey and the China Girl. I'm not a MW fan, but she was probably the best lead in this film, her story had so much more meaning, and she played her part well.



i hope they will not remake The Wizard of Oz. I can't bare the thought of it being ruined.

Saw the film yesterday. Pretty much agree with you assessment Josie. The special effects (including the opening credits and the transition to black&white to color) and those two above where the highlight. I thought there was some miscasting.

I just got back from seeing it, and I have to admit I loved it. I know a lot of people have mixed feelings which I understand. Some of the character development felt rushed and everything, but I feel like there's so much more to offer in the sequels.

I seriously loved this movie though. I absolutely adore Michelle Williams, and she was radiant in this movie.

I just saw the movie today

I totally agree Did not believe in Oscar's changing at the end, it felt rush and I felt like he was playing Glinda too

Mila Kunis was the highlight of the movie for me,

I was truely hoping she would be saved and become Theodora again eventhough I knew it wasn't possible

And yeah, me too!! I was hoping for an ending "A LA DISNEY" with Oz saving her, or something, VERY CLICHE but totally Disney But instead we got the even more cliche "The good witch ends up with the magician while the wicked witch is banished forever" However, I loved how Oz said there was still good in her at the end, kinda gave me hope (for nothing probably once more but still )

Now I have to go back to read "Dorothy" to see what happens to the Wicked Witch of the West

Yeah, I'm a sucker for good romance, also I tend to see "the good" in almost everyone it seems, so seeing her change so much because of what her evil sister told her/gave her (the apple, totally got the Snow White feeling from this scene btw ^^) was really sad I thought I should also be prepared for the worst it seems

Yeah, I knew she was evil the moment I saw her too!! And everytime she was telling her lies to Theodora I was like "Noo! Don't believe her!! She's lying!! She didn't dance with him and this is YOUR stupid music box" SO USELESS!!

I loved her with Oz more too, but I'm a sucker for this kind of love stories anyway, thought she would find her heart back because of him, then I have to remind myself that I'm not watching OUAT (although even in OUAT, characters like her might die, that's what happens in those movies if a character doesn't choose the right path once ^^ )

Anyway, I just thought that the scene where they kissed was really, really beautiful

I kind of found it weird too that Glinda looked almost exactly like Oscar's lover in Kansas, whom he also decided to choose magic/power over her btw. It gave me even a worst feeling about the ending, like he ended up with Glinda cause she was the only beautiful woman left available who happened to look exactly like the woman who loved him in Kansas

I think they should have done that in France too! Cause there were 5/3 year olds with their parents and they ended up crying when the "bad bad Witch" (Evanora) as they said was battling Glinda at the end

I'm too I really thought they would be the "main couple" in the beginning of the movie.

I found that was weird too, I wonder why they used the same actress with the girl in Kansas and Glinda but then again the voices for the flying monkey was Oz's assistant and China girl's voice was the girl who couldn't walk

I understand that. Could never take a child in that age to a movie like that. In that age they should just watch cartoon or something
