i finally saw Mary Poppins Returns today. it was great. thought it was a little slow in parts and some of the song numbers went on a little to long. but on the whole it was very well done. i think its one of those movies you need to watch multiple times. i went with my mother and she kept hoping for songs from the original but they didnt do that. but they did have the house from the original and the crazy neighbor who thought he was a sea caption who shot cannons off his roof.  im now in the mood to rewatch the original again  __________________

I hope I will enjoy it too. I know it will never even come a percent close to the original for me, but I hope I will be able to enjoy it on it's own merits. I'm just glad it's a sequel rather than a full on remake of the first film and will have it's own merits.
