Mary Poppins is another one of my favorite movies and it's easy to see why Julie Andrews won the Academy Award for Best Actress for this film because of her marvelous singing voice and acting. When I was a little girl my dad and I used to read a chapter each day from the P.L. Travers novel of Mary Poppins and I always thought Mary Poppins was a magical lady because she had a magic way of getting the Banks children to do their chores in a wonderful manner. and I have started to learn the song that Mrs. Banks sings and Glynis Johns was fabulous as Mrs. Banks and David Tomlinson was so gentlemanly as Mr. Banks and his song was so cool and it's no secret why Dick Van Dyke was perfectly cast as Bert because Bert was so funny and full of different jobs throughout the movie. With the hype of Mary Poppins Returns the original Mary Poppins is well worthy of watching
