I love this movie a lot. Its definitely a different take than the original tale, which I really really enjoy but the movie was great too

The Original little mermaid folkore is way different, it's a good thing that disney changed it, but that kinda makes it a bit of a lie. AH heck, it's still great, a story of how true love konkers a crabby mermaid king, and an octupous woman hellman on world domination (or just the ocean, you'd have thought it be a bit clearer?)

i know, i much prefer this version of the tale. i don't know how i'd feel watching ariel's tongue being cut off instead of the way disney has it

i just remembered yesterday that when i was younger, i had one of these little mermaid toys that was a huge oyster and when you opened it, ariel was inside and bubbles would come out.. you had to use it underwater.. it was theeee coolest thing ever.

I remember watching this when I was a toddler, I would pretend I was Ariel. And I had 'Little Mermaid' bedsheets and toys.
