I’ll probably just get the 4K of this. Can’t stand being in theaters where they allow children and people to eat snacks. And bathroom breaks (seriously, be an adult and hold your bladder and not eat for 90 minutes).

I have to say, they aced the beginning (when Simba is presented to the animals on top of the rock). It actually got me a little emotional

I just finished listening to the new soundtrack on youtube, and omg, the whole thing is beautiful from beginning to end. I can't wait to see the film when I have the chance too.

I saw it today. I personally liked it but I guess I can understand the mixed reviews. It was very similar to the animated movie but some parts felt rushed and since the animals looked so real, their emotional reactions were gone so they felt empty sometimes lol. I did like it though, the animals looked amazing (especially Mufasa, he looked so freaking good!) the voice acting was great (besides JEJ as Mufasa, CE was amazing as Scar) many parts still gave me chills like both Circle's of Life, Hakuna Matata, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, etc. I loved the music but I always have loved the African music in TLK. Oh, the hyenas were way more scary and intimidating in this version which was good too. I thought the stampede scene was way better in the animated version, way more intense IMO but Mufasa's death still made me cry in this version which I was expecting lol. I didn't think Beyonce was good as Nala and her voice took me out of it every time she talked. So yes, I liked the movie but I can also see what the mixed reviews are talking about. When they first announced this live action remake, I thought this would be my new favorite (since the animated one is my favorite Disney film) but it fell a little short. The Jungle Book is still the best one IMO.
