Why would they need to make Lilo & Stitch into live action? What on earth could they possibly add to it that would make it feel warranted? The animated film is absolutely perfect as it is. I've said this before, but this really is stretching the limit now. It's belittling animation as an art form, it's like they're saying they have to remake all their hand drawn animated classics because they're out dated, and that they are not worthwhile anymore. It makes me so sad. I'm just awaiting live action remake announcements for Hercules, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, and even The Princess & the Frog. It honestly wouldn't surprise me now. Are these remakes to be seen as tributes to their animated counterparts? Or is the sheer amount of the classics being remade belittling animation as an art form? I'm just starting to feel heart-broken with it all.
I still feel this way about this two years later after it was announced they were making a live action Lilo & Stitch

I don’t feel they need to make a live action of this.

This was always one of my least favorite animated Disney movies, so that makes it even more of a waste of time to make a live action adaption of this. Some Disney films work in live action, and some don't. Lilo and Stitch definitely doesn't lol.

I love the animated movie but I can’t see it working as a live action and having the same feel.

I adore Lilo & Stitch. Stitch is my favorite disney character. I even collect figurines of him.

And I really don't like the idea of them making a live action movie of this one. It is not needed and I'm scared what the "live action" Stitch would look like.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who feels this way.

I think Lilo & Stitch is very underrated. The alien stuff at the beginning is a bit out of place from the rest of the movie, but the stuff that's good (the relationship between Lilo & Nani and how Stitch learns to become a part of their family) is just so good.

I love the beginning too.

But yeah, Disney is taking to far with making live action on everything now.

I agree. I don’t think I want to see what a live action Stich looks like.

I kind of have to agree with you there.

Oh don't get me wrong, I enjoy the beginning of the film, just that I find it gets better as it goes along.

Oh it would be. I mean, it would be CGI, but made to look very life-like. No matter how it turns out, give me 2D stitch any day!

Yeah, they've already taken the whole live action remake spree way too far already. There has to be a point where enough is enough.

Yeah, some ideas I can get behind with live actions (Cinderella & Maleficent), but some is just a big no. And this is one of them.

I like the live action adaptions but some work and some don't. Lilo and Stitch as live action sounds like a pointless mess, just like Bambi does. Their getting lazy and just trying to put them all in live action. That's why overkill exists. Just stop dammit!
