I found an article from earlier this year on The Daily Beast site about Elsa likely not getting a girlfriend in ''Frozen'' & learned that ''Disney has walked a delicate tightrope between not shutting down LGBT fans who want to see better representation in their films and not pissing off homophobic viewers.''

I don't think I've thought of homophobic people watching Disney programs before, but I suppose they check em out. This is though disappointing to me if it's how Disney does feel, but I guess not surprising if they are about the bottom dollar.

Anyway, I am curious to see which character Sterling K. Brown gets to be the voice of in ''Frozen 2'' & what the rest of the cast will be. I do expect most of the characters from ''Frozen'' to return.

that is a shame that that is how disney feels about the LGBT community. i dont see why Elsa cant have a girlfriend. do they think kids wont except that or understand that? cuz this is 2018 and im sure they see that everyday now

I don't think it's the tendency that there are 'homophobic' people who watch Frozen and other Disney movies that would be offended if Elsa was given a girlfriend. I think it's more to do, at least, in my opinion, about why should she be given a girlfriend just to make LGBT community happy? Frozen had nothing to do about sexual orientation, and Elsa had shown no interest in having a boyfriend or girlfriend. I understand the pressure Disney must be under by the LGBT community to show more LGBT characters in their movies, but I really don't think making an already established character like Elsa part of that community is the right answer. It's a story that will come out of nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for seeing same sex couples in Disney movies, but it has to be done with the right movies, characters and the right stories. Disney is for everyone, yes, but let's not forget the kids too. Yes, it's important that they understand about diversity, like you say, it is 2018 now and they are undoubtedly going to understand, and likely to accept it, but Disney shouldn't have to bow to pressure to create characters people want, it's up to them how and what they do with it.

Well it would be up to the writers to decide how she would come out I think, but the circumstances played a big role I'd guess in Elsa not showing interest in hooking up with people. She probably thought she had bigger things to worry about in ''Frozen''. If instead it's some guy that woos her then I wouldn't be surprised if that's the route taken.

well she is the queen and i guess they figure at some point she needs to have a king (or someone) by her side to help rule the castle
