Hi, all! I have to say Frozen is now my all-time favorite Disney movie. I think I've seen it about literally 10+ times, probably more--I have a lot of small cousins--And I'm still not tired of it. To tell you the truth, I didn't like it on the first viewing because I don't usually like musical type movies, but with each subsequent viewing I loved it more and more, especially the lovable characters. So, I'm hoping for a Frozen 2, and not the kind that's released straight to DVD.

^ Hiya Aimee, Welcome to and the Disney board! I'm Liv. I'm not a big fan of musical type movies unless they're Disney. They're songs are always fun and move the story along.

As of today Frozen is less than $1 million from hitting the $400 million mark domestic with $399,001,514.
Frozen also passed $1.1 Billion worldwide today as well with Japan continuing to put up huge numbers. Japan will be close to $90 million after this weekend and still going strong, $150m is the floor there, and if it can somehow get to $200m in Japan it will pass Iron Man 3 as the #1 movie of 2013 worldwide, something nobody thought was even a remote possibility when it opened in Japan as Frozen's final market.

On a side note, the Frozen merchandise shortage is starting to get some attention:

Frozen Merch Is Sold Out Everywhere and Parents Are Losing Their ****

I actually went to the Disney Store last weekend and there was literally nothing Frozen related left, just empty shelves. I also stopped by the Target in the same mall, they had exactly 2 young Anna dolls left, that was it.

Yeah, I just heard the Elsa dress is selling for around $1,600 on eBay. Crazy.

I saw one last December when I was Christmas shopping. Gah, I knew I should have bought it. But, that was before I loved the movie. Would have made an awesome gift or auction.

Domestic and worldwide estimates are up. It looks like they have underestimated the overseas number by about 1 million. They show overseas as a bit over 14 million for the week, but Japan alone did nearly 15 million and holdovers maybe 200k.

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $399,432,000 35.9%
+ Foreign: $713,100,000 64.1%
= Worldwide: $1,112,532,000

That moves Frozen up to #8 all time worldwide by passing Skyfall. Frozen is just 7 million from #7 LOTR: Return of the King and 11 million from #6 Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Both could be passed next weekend.

All Time Worldwide Box Office Grosses

Frozen is also less than 3 million from passing Ice Age: Continental Drift ($715,922,939) as the highest overseas grossing animated movie ever.

The weekend estimates for Frozen in Japan turned out to be way low, but actuals are out now and Frozen has blown by Monsters University.

Actuals:
Weekend 840.25m Yen ($8.2M), -1.2% from Last Weekend
Total 9.284 b Yen ($91M)

There is no doubt the hype for Frozen is enormous, the Japanese singers who dubbed the voices of Anna and Elsa will be singing together on national tv tomorrow and Frozen is absolutely dominating the Japanese iTunes charts. Frozen songs are still taking up the 1-4 spots.

1位 Let it go 松たか子 (Japanese)
2位 Let it go Idina Menzel
3位 For the first time in forever 神田沙也加 松たか子 (Japanese singers)
4位 Let it go May J. (Japanese pop version)

Oh how I miss posting here. So happy to see that the board is still staying super active and that movies like this are still coming out. I've been obsessing over Frozen since it came out and kalsjdh, I can't get enough. I watched it twice while I was on vacation last month with a bunch of my cousins.. there wasn't a person in that room who wasn't over 21 years old. Such a good movie for anybody.

The OP is amazingly gorgeous, btw!!
