The second one according to box office, did half as well as the first. The third didn't even scrape production money.

At least it did reasonably well. I think the reason the third one didn't is because it wasnt done by Disney.

That would be an accurate reason.

Also the fact that the book wasn't brilliant either.

Yeah, Voyage of the Dawn Treader wasn't my favourite of the books. But, I think they still did good job with the film and I do like it. It was great to see Lucy and Edmund grow. And the boy who played Eustace Scrubb was really good.

I still think it's weird they skipped the first book.

Although, the first one was the last to come out, no?

The books were written out of sequence. the publication order was:

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950)
Prince Caspian (1951)
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (1952)
The Silver Chair (1953)
The Horse and His Boy (1954)
The Magicians Nephew (1955)
The Last Battle ( 1956)

the first book written was The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe.

the Magician's Nephew was written later, although in Narnian chronology, it's first.

I'd love it if they would adapt the rest of the books.

Yeah I think they are making a new Narnia film? I just think it will be a different company/cast.

Oh really? So obviously not Disney. They don't need to remake the Narnia films they did, they're great as they are and still fairly recent. I'd rather see the other books be adapted than see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader again.

They don't need to remake them. They are fine the way they are.
