Cadet Kelly - Starring Hilary Duff

Cadet Kelly
7.30pm - 9.30pm | Seven
Family Disney Movie Premiere (2002)

Fourteen-year-old Kelly Collins has it all. The Greenwich Village native is hip to the latest fashions and has never been more popular. At home, things are just as spectacular, until her mother decides to marry the head of a military academy. It isn't long before Kelly and her mother have to relocate and Kelly is ordered to ditch her designer clothes and become a cadet. Military school is definitely tough... especially when notorious upperclassman Captain Jennifer Stone sets her sights on breaking Kelly's spirit.

Hilary Duff, Christy Carlson Romano, Gary Cole, Shawn Ashmore, Aimee Garcia, Linda Kash, Nigel Hamer, Sarah Gadon

We have this movie on Sat night and I didn't know about this movie so I've never seen it before

How good is it?

Ooh, I've caught it a few times on the Disney channel, never actually watched it all the way through, but all the bits I've seen, I've seen all of it. It's a pretty good one. I like it!

I thought it was really funny (and taking away my bias as a Hilary fan...) but it's just an entertaining kinda movie (as all Disney ones are )

You'll most prob enjoy it Kelly

You know, they show this movie pretty often on Disney, and yet, I still haven't seen it. Maybe I should record it one of these days. Maybe then I will get to see it.

I recomend it

It's a good waste of 90mins and you don't have to concentrate to hard

You could prob just start watching from anywhere and be able to figure it out...I mean it is a Disney movie (as much as I love them...) they're not the most mentally challenging

Edit:

Kelly, did you get to watch it? What did you think?

I did
Last night I watch my tape, "Cadet Kelly" movie and I found it rather corny
Is there a real school on Armys
The start of the movie was great until the new school which was weird to me
I guess it's a ok movie for Disney
It got better at the end thou

Yeah, the school is a bit weird, but I guess there are schools like that, miltary acaedmies and all that.

But all in all, not a bad movie.

You're from Oz right **Benji's Trucka Hat**?

If you have Foxtel, you might be lucky and they'll show it again on the Disney channel?

Yes. There are military schools out there that prepare young kids for a career in the Military if they choose once they graduate.

----

Funny how Disney and Hillary Duff were fighting and then all of a sudden Disney is promoting HD's new albums with exclusive concert footage, backstage stuff and interviesws, huh?

As well as any older HD stuff like "Lizzie Maguire" and this movie.

They must have struck a huge deal between one another because Disney was stupid to let HD slip through their fingers right before she became a mega star... Even though, she was demanding too much money for another season of LM (or so I heard).

That is a bit weird.

Maybe it's because Hilary is on Buena Vista Records/Hollywood Records who are partners with Disney.

Either that or Hilary's record company are paying Disny a bucket load of money as they know that they can generate lots of sales from the 'tweens' that watch the Disney channel. (Although not only tweens watch Disney cos I'm not a tween and I watch Disney )

Maybe Disney didn't want them because they got older or nothing was coming up for them to do Disney movies
