Yeah, it's a really sad book. But most coming of age books/movies tend to lean that way.

Has anyone seen the trailer for this movie? It looks like it's trying to be a Narnia/Harry Potter ripoff, this is nothing like I remember the book.

My mother is a grade school teacher and was reading it to her class about a month ago and I had her watch the trailer and she was like, that is not in the book.

I'm very dissapointed seeing as this book really touched me as a child and I've re-read it several times since.

I like this book too....It's weird you would put those 2 titles together. When I was in the 4th grade, my teacher made us buy those 2 so we could read 'em in class.... I'm excited about this too!

Ok, just watched the trailer, and I'm hoping and praying that they are only trying to play up the adventures in Jess and Leslie's imagination in order to bring in the audience. I really hope that the movie isn't just about the adventures in Terabithia..because then it would be nothing like the book I love.

I'll never forgive Disney if they mess this up. But did anyone else gasp a bit when they showed Leslie swinging in the trailer...It was weird to see it, instead of just picturing it in my mind all these years.

I loved this book, I still do, I read it like 4 times in between 2nd and 3rd grade. Yesterday, I watched the trailer on my TV and I was kind of surprised by the way they portrayed it. I agree taovande I will be so upset if they have this movie just be their adventures in Terabithia, and cut out all of the good stuff. And I swear if they mess up the end of the book, I will be devestated, because that's the part I remember the most, I cried. I think I might borrow the book from the library and read it again tomorrow.

I also read this book in the 6th grade and absolutely loved it! That was a year of great books! We read "BTT," "The Great Gilly Hopkins," "Where the Red Fern Grows," "Journey to Topaz," and "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry." All amazing, amazing books!!

Anyway, I also was a bit thrown by the trailer, but I'm still excited to see it. Especially when I found out that the kid who plays Jess is the same young boy who was in a movie I absolutely love called "Little Manahattan." If you haven't seen it, you MUST! Then you'll know how great he is. I have high hopes. (Also, the girl playing Leslie is the girl from "Because of Winn Dixie" who also played either Violet or Veruca in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

I saw the trailer and it does have the Narnia-esque feel into it. I'll watch this, definitely.

Josh Hucherson and AnnaSophia Robb are so adorable! I heard that they are now very good friends because of this film.
