It is probably my favorite of the live action remakes.

I prefer the original one but this was not an awful remake imo. I especially liked missing scenes they showed.

I agree, the animated original is better but I loved this version too. It's my second favorite after The Jungle Book. I think that is the only one where I like the live action version more than the animated one.

He did steal a bunch of scenes.

I watched this film when it was on BBC one this Christmas and I just can't find myself liking it as much as when I first viewed it. I think the worst part of it for me is the Beast's design, he doesn't look scary or beastly enough like in the animated film. It puts me off!

That makes sense. It was probably easier to make him look more beast like when it’s animated.

I still like this movie and think it's one of the best live action adaptions.

I do too. I liked it a lot more than I thought.

True, but they could have tried a bit harder with the combination of make up and CGI.

The Jungle Book will continue to remain my favourite remake so far.

That is a good live action one as well.

So far I feel The Jungle Book, Beauty and the Beast, and Cinderella are the best live action adaptions. 101 Dalmatians as well if that one counts (Glenn Close was AMAZING as Cruella DeVille) I hate that The Lion King can't be included in one of the best since it's my favorite animated Disney film of all time. It's only cause it kind of felt like a shot for shot remake lol, but the visuals were amazing.

I thought they did a good job. I loved when he laughed after hitting Belle with the snowball!

I think the "humanizing" of him made the emotions seem more real.

Just my opinion, though..
