What was the first Disney movie you saw in theaters?

For me The Black Cauldron at age 3 and it was my first movie.

Welcome to and the Disney board BatmanRules82! I think we already had a similar thread like this somewhere…I will merge this one with that once I find it. In future, please ask a moderator (myself or my co-mod) in the board guide/intro thread if you want to start a particular topic/thread and we'll check the board to see if we already have one. It just keeps the board tidy so we don't have duplicate threads. Thank you. You can introduce yourself there as well, if you like.

Ok, had a quick look and we didn't have a similar thread, so I'll leave this like it is and add it to the board guide.

BTW, the first Disney movie I saw in theatres was The Lion King.

Hello welcome to Disney Board. Great question. I really can't remember what Disney movie I first saw in theater. I am going to have to ask my mom that one and get back to this thread.

Yeah, it's funny cause I can barely remember going to see The Lion King at the cinema 'cause I was only 5. I do remember getting it on VHS though.

I asked my mom and she said it was rather The Little Mermaid or Oliver and Company.

Beauty & the Beast was the first Disney movie I saw at the theater. I was 7 year old I think. I also saw Beauty & the Beast on Ice when that came to New Zealand.

Princess Diaries was my first Disney live action and Lilo & Stitch was my first Disney cartoon that I watched in theaters

I’m jealous that you guys were old enough to have watched most of the Disney renaissance films in theaters when they first came out
