We don't have our thanksgiving in the states till the end of November. Do you make anything special, or have a favorite dish?
I made Pumpkin Pecan Glazed Muffins today. They turned out great. I'll be working tomorrow. So I'm going to bed a little early. |

I wish Thanksgiving was earlier here. If you don't mind me asking, why do you have Thanksgiving before the US?
I'm not much for Turkey myself, but every once in a while it's o.k. I like mine dry. If I get a fatty piece it just ruins it for me. |

Wow, that's a really long story. The concept is the same but I know our Thanksgiving at one point was in late October or early November but was changed over the early years. I think wiki explains it better!

I'm haven't been all about Christmas these last couple of years. To me my family getting together seems so forced. Getting gifts for everyone when they don't tell you what they want is so frustrating. So I end up getting them all gift cards. I usually buy what I want and need throughout the year so I don't really want anything around this time so Pajama bottoms and a house coat is what I look forward to the most. My mom know what I like. I'm going to do the Operation Christmas Child boxes.

Well, since my family is everywhere it isn't as forced for us since we rarely see each other. My family tend to give us a list of stuff they "need" and we buy from that list. I enjoy buying gifts more than receiving them to be honest.

^ me too. I could care less about getting anything and I would rather not because I know jobs aren't the best right now, and money can be an issue. If it were easy to buy for my family I would be happy with it, but it's so not. We have a new baby coming after Christmas so I'm excited about that.

A baby after Christmas is so exciting
I feel kind of the same about Christmas. I just look forward to cold weather, candy canes, peppermint hot chocolate, wearing Santa hats. My work does a light show too so it is always fun. I never know what to get people. Gift shopping is so hard I feel like things my family wants are soo expensive so I have settled on gift cards and some small things from bath and body works this year. __________________

A baby!!! Wow! My brother had two kids...one born before Christmas and one born after Christmas. It's a pain sometimes because you have to buy double the gifts. My friend also has a birthday a week before Christmas!
I'm trying to buy early this year though. |

I have 2 sisters and a niece already. The oldest sister is having her first in January. At least I hope it's in January and she doesn't come out to soon. Me and my sister have a birthday in December. Mine is very close to Christmas It never fails, I'm always sick.

That sucks to be sick for your birthday! I was sick this year for my birthday but I was actually sick for three months with bronchitis. It just kept getting worse, then better and then worse again. I'm still sort of still dealing with it but hopefully it won't stay throughout the winter.
