Good on ya, Meg
Now you can enjoy the break!Went to the doc's today, then to the hospital to get an x-ray of my middle finger. Still a tiny bit swollen from my fall on the treadmill 3 weeks ago. Might be a tiny fracture or something else, but nothing serious. Most likely just hurt a finger muscle, hence the tiny bump on the joint. So it'll heal eventually. Felt good to get it checked out and rule out any kinks. But boy... talk about money-grabber. It sure ain't cheap! How's everyone's week going? I might pop in tomorrow, but other than that, I think I'll just leave it for the remainder of the week and just enjoy the Holiday season. Merry Christmas to one and all __________________

Yep, I can totally enjoy Christmas now and I couldn't be happier. Spent all day in the kitchen baking and listening to Christmas music. Was in total and absolute bliss.
Jor - Gah x-rays, etc. are SO freaking expensive. It's the worst. I'm glad that everything was ruled out that. That's nice.  __________________

That sucks about your finger, Jor. Anything medical is SO expensive.
Em, I was supposed to work a half day tomorrow, but I took off to go to my Great Aunt's funeral. Such a sad way to start the holiday weekend, sigh. And work considers me going to a funeral vacation time, apparently, which is just so nice. Truly. </bitter> __________________

Thanks, guys.
It was actually a pretty peaceful service. I mean, I cried and cried, but it was different... you don't feel cheated, you just cry because there is so much love in one room. Her children spoke, and they told a story about her last moments where she swore she saw a man that was an angel, and they played her favorite songs. I couldn't have asked for a more respectful, personal, perfect service.It did upset me and make my heart heavy yesterday, but today I'm just feeling even more grateful for my family and happy that she's at peace, not suffering anymore. __________________
