Reese Witherspoon: Avon Appearance

She’s had a working relationship with Avon for years, and yesterday Reese Witherspoon was spotted greeting the national sales leaders at the annual Avon Sales Conference.

The “Sweet Home Alabama” hottie looked glamorous as she arrived at the Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, posing with Avon CEO and Chairman Andrea Jung outside the event.

Reese Witherspoon Walks For Breast Cancer

Reese Witherspoon kicks off the Avon Walk For Breast Cancer wearing a red Temperley London “Glisten” dress on Monday (May 11) in San Francisco, Calif.

The 33-year-old actress spent time with five local breast cancer survivors who shared their stories thanks in part to the quality care provided by the Avon Foundation Comprehensive Breast Center and San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.

"It was truly a privilege to share this day with those who will bring us closer to a world without breast cancer - the extraordinary scientists and doctors who provide research and care, the Avon Walkers who raise critical funds, and the breast cancer survivors whose stories provide inspiration," Reese shared. "As a woman, a mother and the Honorary Chairman of the Avon Foundation, I am grateful on behalf of the women who are being helped today, and the future generations who will benefit tomorrow."

"I don't know anyone whose life hasn't been touched by breast cancer. From my very good friend Nancy, to one of the teacher's of my children's school who is now dealing with this. I think it's a situation where we're dealing with so many women in our lives who are dealing with breast cancer that you can't not do anything."

I think you are responsible for the art you put in the world."

Reese is releasing her own perfume this fall, pretty exciting!

For her debut scent, Witherspoon, a Tennessee native, drew inspiration from her Southern roots. “I was really drawn by white flowers to get that sense of a steamy night somewhere in the South,” she explained. “Definitely gardenia is a big thing for me because my father — every Mother’s Day or on my birthday — would buy small bouquets or corsages for my mother and I. And my mother always wore beautiful white-flower perfumes, so as a young girl, that was my idea of femininity.”

The mother of two said her own daughter, nine-year-old Ava, helped in the creation process, smelling many of the initial ingredients that were presented to Mom Reese. “I asked her which one smelled most like me.”

Also helping Witherspoon on the final juice was Isabel Ryan, Avon’s director of creative fragrance development, and perfumer Olivia Jan of Robertet. In Bloom has top notes of Georgia peach, tea leaves and crisp greens; a heart of star gardenia, magnolias and night-blooming jasmine, and a drydown of cashmere woods, hypnotic florals and amber wood crystals.

“It’s indicative of where I am today,” said Witherspoon. “I’m feeling very strong and independent and so happy. The fragrance really captures that feeling — it’s very sensual, very romantic and alluring.”

Another new project for reese, and this one sounds like its going to be a dark comedy one of her specialties.

I am so excited about all these projects that reese is potentially going to be doing. No matter what films she takes on she is gonna be one busy women.
