Thanks Ellen for bringing it back. We need some discussion. Ummmm what's everyone's favorite scene?

yea I like how Renton gets away with it.
I like the scene where Begbie and Sick Boy are arguing over not bringing the cards and when Renton yells at Sick Boy for selling his TV. There's a lot of scenes I like. hope these pics work. __________________

I'd say my favorite scene is the opening montage with Ewan's voice over and "Lust for Life" playing in the background. Weee.
Have you guys read the book? I really liked it alot. I've been wanting to read Porno for a while, but I haven't really found a way to get it past my mother yet. [ 05-24-2003: Message edited platelet ] |

I haven't read Trainspotting yet but I'm going to take it out of the library in the summer when I have more time.

No, it's not that bad at all. I'll admit that at the beginning I did have some trouble, but you get used to it eventually. I found that reading it out loud helped at first.
And some chapters don't even have the slang. Each character tells a few chapters from his or her point of view throughout the book. Some chapters are told from a third person point of view, and those are a good break from the chapters with the heavy slang. [ 06-04-2003: Message edited platelet ] |
