I'm like 70% sure it was murder. Or it may have been assault. Point is, he was getting out of jail at the beginning of Porno.

A college friend of mine dated a guy who was the spitting image of Spud. I kid you not.

But he seemed like a nice guy and he made her happy. So, there is someone for everyone, I guess. Even if that someone looks like Spud.

Begbie ends up in a coma at the end of Porno. He gets out of jail, and it's not until the very end that he runs into Renton again. Of course, Begbie is not happy to see him. He dashes into the street, to go after Renton, and a car comes, hits him, and puts him in a coma.
So then, Renton screws over Sick Boy again. Sick Boy goes to visit Begbie in the hospital and he's talking to Begbie, even though he's in a coma, about what Renton did and how he wants revenge. That makes Begbie wake up. So the author makes it seem like a 3rd novel can be written.

Poor guy. Did you ever tell him who he looked like? At least he was nice, I guess. If you don't have the looks, you need the personality/humor.

^No, I definitely never said anything to the guy, nor did I mention it to my friend. I didn't want to sound mean. Even though it was true.

Wow, if there was a third novel, it sounds like Renton would be in some serious trouble.

I wish Sick Boy was a nicer person, because he was so darn cute. (Thanks to Jonny.)

I liked your dream.

And I already think Rent is a nice person, so I like him just as he is. Other than the heroin addiction, of course. But he was clean in the end, and only screwed over people who deserved to be screwed. So, see.... nice.

exactly! They had is coming. Plus, I think he is the best person to have control over the money. AND he was the one to test it out.

Begbie/SB seem like a recipe for disaster.

Renton should tell Spud to join him. But Spud may be the reason he gets caught.
