Working in a small enclosed kitchen with very little air circulation and no fan. Working in 90+ weather is torturous.

That doesn't sound fun at all. I'd say "torturous" would probably be a fairly accurate description.

agreed.
No need to go to a suana, though, if that's at all looking at the positive side.

You're a mere baby Vic! I'll be turning 40 in 2014!!! I still feel 18 though. I'll start planning your 30th birthday trip to London now...so much to do!

Rachel - get that honeymoon booked, it's long overdue! Good luck with getting a reasonably priced flight though! It appears that travel across the Atlantic costs mega bucks right now! We're not finding many cheap deals for NY in October. Not that this will stop us going. We need a US fix.

It's been anything but hot here this weekend. We've just had rain, rain and more rain. I camped at school (on the field) on Friday night with a group of the school leavers and it was more like March then July. Brrrr.

the gym would go out of business if everyone simply used their kitchen.

Booo to yucky weather. It was about 95 degrees here today. Even I, who never feels cold all the time, felt too hot.

Isn't it sad that I procrastinate doing things that would actually be awesome for me? To answer my own question...Yes, yes it is.

The flights are expensive, but then again, I don't know what they usually are. And, unfortunately, they are pricier from LA to Paris than from NY to Paris. If only I still lived on the east coast...

That would make me 11. Which is actually quite accurate.

I feel that way about kids under 10. How do they run around like that??

After spending Friday night camping with 42 11 year olds, I can categorically say I would hate to be 11 again! Kids that age are really quite unpleasant!

Rachel - we would usually expect to pay £600/700 for a flight out to the West Coast but we were looking at approximately £1000 this summer. The last city break to NYC I had cost £500 for flights and hotel, this year... just short of £800!!!!

Jeez, at the flight/hotel increases. Is that all b/c of fuel?

my goodness! Spending time w/ 42 of them is insanity. I think maybe one on one is better?
I can't remember being a terrible 11 year old, but I guess that depends on the individual?

I think it's mainly because of the high cost of fuel yes! Scandalous though. There's no such thing as a cheap holiday these days!

You wouldn't believe some of the kids at our school. Half of them brought their Blackberries with them, some of them had roll along suitcases (for one night of camping FFS), half the girls emerged from their tents on Saturday morning wearing full make up...I could continue! Anyway, only a day and a half left at work until the summer holidays start! Hooray!

How's the heat out there? I've heard the heatwave is heading east!
