Yeah, that is iffy, but its been done a lot in films. *cough* ALLO *cough*

Stockholm Syndrome is a real thing. That is when victims fall for their kidnappers. So maybe it can work in reverse, too.

Ah yea, ALLO. Robert was Celine's bitch in that movie. But ALLO was a comedy while the Ben one isn't.

Comedies do seem to get away with ridiculous premises more easily than dramas.

It's all about the performances, I guess. If the actors are good, they can make falling in love believable.
