Yeah, I had to find another clip because the one linked here was removed. It didn't freeze on me though. YouTube - Twilight Baseball Scene - HD - Good Quality It's just really, really funny and bad. I mean I was rolling my eyes at parts of it.

Meanwhile, did you hear Kristin Stewart said "Sometimes, I'd be like, 'This is crap. This is the worst, most trite piece of crap I've ever done in my life,'" Stewart said, laughing. "I love the books, but trying to do it in real life, it doesn't translate."

Ah well.

No I didn't? I heard they changed some lines she refused to say but not a quote like that.
Do you have a link to the source?

Stephanie, I found it in twilight_sucks here: Do I dazzle you? - "the worst, most trite piece of crap"

But the original poster's source is this article: Hit or miss, Twilight is actress Kristen Stewart's big break

ETA: thanks for the new thread.

Thanks for the new thread

it's amazing how the human mind works. When you're in the moment and you're scared, you don't realize little clues like him calling the girl your relative instead of saying "your sister."
Exactly! I realized that later...And then I thought that maybe I could've played along (after knowing he was lying) so I could get some name or place and then report him to the police. But oh well, all I care about now is that my sister is ok and hopefully I learned something for next time.

And thanks for your words, girls

Thanks for the link, Janet.
Yea, I think both Rob and Kristen were excited to work with Catherine and they have said many times they didn't know how big it was going to be.
That icon of Kristen smoking, is that from a movie or is she smoking that pipe in real life?

Those sick idiots are going to get what's coming to them. Karma.

it's a real photo. She's smoking it on her stoop, I think.

Oh, and my computer had like 30 viruses on it. It had to be wiped clean. OY putting everything back on itunes is going to be such a bitch.

Oh looks like my "it's real " was beat.

I keep hearing about CH's directing, some say she's amazing, some not-so-much. Though Twilight, it seems to me, has low marks in direction across the board.

I'm no director so I don't really understand the complaints. What were other people's complaints?

Ah, I was afraid it was a real photo. I hope she doesn't end up like Amy Winehouse. Or Lindsey Lohan.

I like that Catherine was enthusiastic about the film. Usually directors are so bland. But she showed her weirdness and excitement.
I do hope she returns to film the sequels. I like how she made Twilight.

One of the main complaints is about the special effects. They opted to go with this blurred vision thing, you know what I mean? When Edward runs it's a blurred camera to simulate speediness, but it just looks bad.

oh, okay. Can that be blamed on a really low budget too?

Yeah, that's what I thought, but who knows? I think people are reaching now. Another complaint they had was the weird angles. One critic wrote "Hardwicke insists on toning the film blue in a way that makes the magnificent scenery of the Pacific Northwest seem dreary."

Another: "Catherine Hardwicke's choppy direction plays all this much too seriously. The film lacks the clarity and cleverness that might have ameliorated the campier moments. "

I don't get the complaint. They say the film is too serious yet they want to improve the campy moments? Isn't that an oxymoron?

I read it as Hardwicke too the story too seriously, and that she should have made it campy.

Yeah, the only problem with that is Smeyer was overseeing everything and she takes the stories seriously.
