OMG I didn't even recognize him. Good to know he's still working. I love Office Space.

what;d you think of his American accent? To me, it was very Ed Bloom-like. He was just made to have a Scottish accent. He doesn't sound right otherwise.
Does sound like Ed Bloom. I guess it is easier for him to do a southern-ish accent.

Yea like he was taking him seriously.
But if the guy is psychic then he knows what he wrote.

I know that guy from somewhere else but I can't think from where....

The southern accent did come from the British accent, I think.

Goats opens tonight, girls! Woo hoo.

I probably won't see it until tomorrow, though.

Well, that explains why southern accents are notoriously easier for Brits to do over a standard American accent.

He's done a lot of character work. You've probably seen him tons of places. It's just that Office Space/Milton is my favorite.

EW gave the movie an F But IDC. I'm still going to see it - maybe tomorrow - and form my own opinion.

I wanted to see it today, but I've been shopping around for a new car. That kind of sucked the day away from me. Maybe I'll see it tomorrow if I have time. I'd hate to have to wait until next weekend.

^ and I'm always scared the movies I want to see will be pulled out of the theater before I get a chance to see it.

I don't think you have to worry about Goats disappearing that quickly. Some of Ewan's other films may not have been so lucky, but those didn't have Clooger on the marquis!

On Reelz Channel, they were reviewing Goats and one reviewer kept fawning over Clooney. I was like, where's the Ewan love?
They didn't like the film They said it had a great cast and interesting premises, but it didn't come together.

I saw Goats today!

The good news is that Ewan is adorable and his American accent has actually improved. Except when he yells-- he still yells with a Scottish accent.

The bad news is that it's not really that funny. As we feared, some of the funniest moments are the ones shown in the trailers and clips. I'd say there were a handful of other genuinely amusing moments that I hadn't already seen, but over all I wasn't exactly laughing out loud. The story was interesting, but I couldn't help but feel like there was something missing. Not sure exactly what that something is though.

It wasn't a bad movie by any means, it just wasn't a really good movie either. It was just an OK movie with a couple good laughs and a really awesome cast. As an Ewan-lover, I probably enjoyed the film more than most people in the theater, and I think you girls will probably enjoy it as well for the same reason.

Clooney was fine, but he didn't outshine McGregor.

A friend of ours who saw it yesterday said the same. That is had all the elements of a good movie but fell flat. She said it had it's funny moments but was weird and really connect the past flash backs with the present.

Vic and I are thinking of waiting till DVD now to save some bucks. Movies are so expensive now.

How was the Clooger chemistry?

Ouch, those reviews are worrying me. Now I'm afraid we jinxed it with so much good anticipation

I don't know when they're gonna bring the movie here...but I hope it's soon. I'm even more eager to see it now

That might be a wise choice. Like I said, it is worth watching at some point. But, definitely not worth rushing to the theater to watch. Save your money for now.

They were great together, of course. Not many surprises though. Their relationship is pretty much the same throughout the film. So you get a clear idea of how they are with each other when you watch the "predator clip" or any of the other trailer clips, etc. The whole thing is Clooney being serious about his Jedi powers and Ewan being utterly clueless as to what he means by that.

And on that note, I'll say that I found it weird that they have Ewan acting completely clueless about the word Jedi. Seriously. He is more clueless in the film than your average Joe. Pretty much any normal American 30-something year old has at least heard of SW and knows what a Jedi is. Ewan's cluelessness is not funny or ironic-- it's a little annoying. Not one single "inside-joke" about Obi Wan. What a waste.
