Already? I feel like Outlander just came back.
It seems like Outlander, like GOT, is going to catch up to the books before the next/last one comes out. __________________

IDK what the Outlander show runners are going to do without having book source material.

They still have like 3-4 years worth of material.

In the recent books they are like 60 years old.

Damn! Is she going to write all the way up until their deaths in their 90s?

In the recent books, everyone thinks Jamie is dead (he missed boarding a ship that later turned out to be shipwrecked), so Claire marries another known character, for supportive reasons in that uber patriarchal era. But then he shows up one day so that marriage is annulled, much to their delight.
Right now the characters are supposed to be in their early to mid 40s, which is close to their actual ages. Looks like they'll have to be aged a bit in a few seasons. __________________

My goodness, Claire is always marrying people because of societal pressures.
Does she ever divorce Frank? They should get the This Is Us people to do their old makeup. __________________

Well, she marries a family friend high in rank with the government, who is gay, and loves Jamie, even raised his son as his own, so it made sense.
Frank dies in a car accident before they could divorce. __________________

Jamie's son gets raised by the guy?
Poor Frank. He should've found another woman to love. __________________

Yup.
He has plenty of mistresses. The last one seems to be the one, but then he dies. Sucks for him. __________________

I didn't know that Jamie had more kids than just the daughter. Now I can tell my male boss about it.
Did he have mistresses before Claire got transported back in time or does he have mistresses because he knows what Claire's getting up to in the past? __________________

He becomes the indentured servant to a family, and one of the girls is going to be married to an ancient guy that is loaded. She refuses to lose her virginity to him, so threatens Jamie that she'll tell her parents who he really is (they don't know he's a former Scottish prisoner that fought against the English crown) if he doesn't sleep with her. But that rapist, blackmailing bitch died in childbirth, so karma got her. Her husband went after the newborn, saying it wasn't his, that she was a whore, because he had yet to consummate their marriage. Her parents refused to believe him, thought him mad, and Jamie managed to grab the baby and killed the old dude in the process. So the kid was raised thinking he's the son of that old dude, which comes with high rank. Jamie was there for the first 5 years or so of the kid, they bonded, but was granted his freedom and thought it best to leave before people realize he is his father since they looked alike. The kid was raised by his aunt and her gay husband, Lord John. He has a long history with Jamie, since he was a young boy, loves him dearly, and would do anything for him and his family.
He has mistresses in their marriage after she returns. She loves having him as father to her child, but doesn't love him in the same way, so it's just a marriage on paper, thus he looks elsewhere for love. __________________
