No, I understand that drawer = the furniture.

My mouth can't move to say the extra "er" part. It doesn't work and feels weird. I had no idea there was supposed to be another way to pronounce the word til now.

You should hear how people from Brooklyn say "three" and "idea"
They say "tree" and "idear" instead. So if you ever hear a Brooklynite say "I've had three wonderful ideas" it will come out as "I had tree wonderful idears"

When I see it spelled drawer I know what they mean. I don't think they are misspelling it, but I am still pronouncing it "draw."
