Ewan McGregor - Big Fish {Ed Bloom} #11: Always save the dog!

Summary:
The story revolves around a dying father and his son, who is trying to learn more about his dad by piecing tgether the stories he has gathered over the years. The son winds up re-creating his father's elusive life in a series of legends and myths inspired by the few facts he knows. Through these tales, the son begins to understand his father's great feats and his great failings.

Ewan plays young Edward Bloom, the father character in the tall-tale retellings of his young days.

It's based on the novel Big Fish: A Novel of Mythic Proportions which I would highly recommend. By all accounts I've heard, this film is going to be incredible. It's being directed by Tim Burton and co-stars Albert Finney (old Edward), Billy Crudup (William Bloom), Steve Buscemi, Danny DeVito, and others. Amazing cast, amazing story, and from what I've heard, and amazing screenplay.

His puppy gets killed at the start of the movie.

Wick was retired, but that's what causes him to get back as he avenges his doggy's death. Along the way, he stumbles across another great dog that worships him in the next two films.

Those writers knew how to upset an audience. Who cares about wives/girlfriends getting murdered, dogs matter more!

I knew that was the premise of the movie, which is why I didn't watch it until years later when there were sequels. So I saw them all as a marathon.

I cheered as he killed the puppy killers in the first movie. No mercy!

This commercial is played often here, and I just love the doggy in it. He knows the baby has food, and he's trying so hard to see how he can get some.
